Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to North Devon and the hotel near Barnstaple for a four night stay.
Day 2 This morning you will visit Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum. A complete family estate with a collection of treasures for all tastes. The Carriage Museum in the stables has a vehicle for every occasion from cradle to grave. You will then visit Quince Honey Farm for a guided tour of their Honey Factory (including honey tasting), a talk about bees and beekeeping in the pollinator-friendly gardens. There will also be the chance to visit the Nectary Restaurant and Shop.
Day 3 Travel through scenic Exmoor to Bishops Lydeard at the foot of the Quantock Hills for a single train journey on the UK’s longest heritage railway, the West Somerset Railway. Enjoy a relaxing ride through the stunning countryside to Minehead for free time and a chance for some lunch before travelling to Lynton for a visit before returning to the hotel.
Day 4 A visit to Ilfracombe for some free time to explore this seaside town and enjoy lunch before travelling to the town of Barnstaple with its unique and colourful history where you will see a mix of old and new as you wander round the town. You must visit the Pannier Market where you can sample some of the local food produced by proud local farmers, fishermen and bakers.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
