Holiday ItineraryFalmouth (Visit Cornwall - Adam Gibbard)
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey west into Cornwall and to the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 The journey today takes you to St. Mawes, a small town opposite Falmouth, on the Roseland Peninsula, for some free time before boarding the ferry for the 20 minute journey across to Falmouth. Famous for its fascinating maritime heritage, Falmouth has the third largest natural deep-water harbour, you will have time here to explore before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 Today you will travel along the coast to the picturesque port of Padstow, overlooking the River Camel Estuary, where Padstow’s most famous resident, Rick Stein has filmed many programmes in the area. Afterwards you will visit Prideaux Place, a charming Elizabethan manor that overlooks Padstow. A guided tour of the house is included with time to stroll in the tranquil gardens overlooking the ancient deer park.
Day 4 A morning tour to Truro with free time to visit the cathedral, situated right in the heart of Truro. Its three spires and amazing architecture dominate the city skyline, making it one of the most iconic buildings in Cornwall. In the afternoon you travel to Newquay to explore the town before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
