Cornish Coast, Falmouth And Gardens

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey west to Cornwall and to the hotel in Falmouth for a four night stay.

Days 2 to 4 We have included the following excursions:

• You head to the attractive town of Marazion, where you enjoy a photo stop to capture the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount, which lies half a mile offshore. Then continue to the famous Land’s End, known as the start or finishing point of journeys to or from John o’ Groats in Scotland. Spend some time soaking in the natural beauty and beautiful views here before travelling along the scenic West Cornwall Coast Road to the picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town of St Ives, where you have time at leisure to explore the numerous galleries and an included visit to the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
  NB: shuttle bus to the centre is available at a small cost.

• A visit to Trebah Garden with free time to explore this sub-tropical garden paradise. Set against a stunning coastal backdrop, at the bottom of the garden there is also a secluded private beach on the Helford River to admire. (NB: Trebah Garden has sections that are accessible only by steps and/or steep paths.) You will then head back to Falmouth with time at leisure to enjoy lunch in one of the many eateries and to explore this lovely coastal town. Known for its fascinating maritime heritage, you may wish to visit the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.

• You will travel to Kestle Mill, near Newquay to visit Trerice, an Elizabethan manor house on a small scale, taking you from the 1500s up to the 1950s with fine interiors and a delightful garden. Time to explore house and gardens and enjoy light refreshments in the Barn café before returning to the hotel.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
