York by Phill Fiddy - flickrDay 1 Morning departure for the journey north to York and the hotel for a four night stay.Days 2 to 4 During your stay in York and due to the central position of the hotel, you will have two free days to explore this medieval walled city. There are many attractions including:- the awe-inspiring York Minster, its Old Palace and its new state of the art attraction - The Undercroft, The Jorvik Viking Centre, or take a relaxing boat cruise on the River Ouse. Stroll around ‘The Shambles’ one of the best preserved medieval streets in the world or visit the National Railway Museum, home to over 200 years of railway history. We have also included the following excursion:-
- A visit to Richmond, a beautiful Yorkshire Dales Market town, with a Norman Castle, Georgian architecture and cobbled market place. Then to Nunnington Hall, a beautiful Yorkshire Manor House nestled on the quiet banks of the River Rye. Time to explore the house and gardens before returning to the hotel. D

Your Holiday Hotel The Queens Hotel
Centrally located on the south bank of the River Ouse, just a short walk to the city centre. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift, restaurant with views, and bar. There are ground floor rooms available on request.
NB: Hotel entrance is accessed by 10 steps but there is a chair lift available.
