Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north to York and the hotel for a four night stay.
Days 2 to 4 During your stay in York and due to the central position of the hotel, you will have two free days to explore this medieval walled city. There are many attractions including:- the awe-inspiring York Minster, its Old Palace and its new state of the art attraction - The Undercroft, The Jorvik Viking Centre, or take a relaxing boat cruise on the River Ouse. Stroll around ‘The Shambles’ one of the best preserved medieval streets in the world or visit the National Railway Museum, home to over 200 years of railway history. We have also included the following excursion:- ● A visit to Richmond, a beautiful Yorkshire Dales market town, with a Norman castle, Georgian architecture and cobbled market place. Then continue to Kiplin House and Gardens – most rooms in the house are open and no ropes or barriers so you can really feel like a guest. Note: Upper floor only accessible by stairs. Stroll about the fascinating gardens and walk round the beautiful lake through parkland and woodland. We have included a cream tea for you to enjoy before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 Breakfast, then commence the homeward journey.
