ItineraryDay 1 Morning departure and travel to the market town of Stratford-upon- Avon with more than 800 years of history. Free time before continuing the journey to the hotel in Rotherham for a two night stay.
Day 2 Today you will visit Chesterfield, known for its ‘Crooked Spire’ and discover how it got its twist. Go bargain hunting at Chesterfield Market or get a taste of history at Chesterfield Museum. Free time before travelling to Renishaw Hall where you will have a tour. Each room within the tour will be decorated to show different aspects of ‘Eat, Drink and be Merry’ at Christmas time. There will be time to enjoy the vistas offered by Renishaw’s superb gardens with views across the Estate and areas of the gardens not seen during the main season. The café offers a wonderful selection of food and take time to choose gifts from the Visitor Centre including local produce, plants and memorabilia.
Day 3 After breakfast, depart the hotel and travel to Chatsworth House in the Peak District where you can admire the house decorated for Christmas. Enjoy some of the magnificent rooms within the house* as well as Chatsworth’s most significant art collection. Also unlimited access to the 105 acre garden with the waterworks, sculptures, maze and more.
* NB: Please note selected rooms on the upper floor of the house will be closed for annual conservation.
