Blackpool And The Lakes

Day 1 Morning departure for Blackpool, arriving late afternoon for a stay of five nights.

Day 2 A short day tour to the elegant resort of Southport, with its magnificent pier, well laid out gardens, sea front lake and Victorian arcade on Lord Street. You will make a visit to Lytham St Anne’s on the return to the hotel.

Day 3 Scenic drive into the Lake District. Stopping at the busy lakeside resort of Bowness where you will have time to explore the town, or take a cruise on Windermere and enjoy even more spectacular scenery.

Day 4 Today a visit to Leighton Hall, the ancestral home of the world- renowned Gillow furniture family, a beautiful historic home in a stunning location. Still lived in today with no stuffy museum and no roped off areas. The enthusiastic guides will share with you the hall’s colourful heritage. Finally a visit to their charming tea rooms, which serve afternoon tea like it used to be - in proper tea cups! Assortment of sandwiches especially made for you, cream tea and jam, homemade cakes and of course plenty of tea!

Day 5 A day at leisure to explore Blackpool.

Day 6 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
