Holiday Itinerary

River Ouse

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Bedford and the hotel for a three night stay.

Day 2 This morning you visit Woburn Abbey and gardens, home of the Duke and Duchess of Bedford. The abbey has over 250 works of art displayed in more than 20 rooms including the largest collection of Venetian views by Canaletto. Time to explore before returning to Bedford for you to take a stroll along the river, enjoy the hotel facilities or do some shopping.

Day 3 Today visit Old Warden and the Shuttleworth Collection, a museum founded in 1928 with a variety of vintage aircraft, most of which still fly. Next door you will find the Swiss Garden in a picturesque alpine style. In the afternoon you head to Wrest Park, a grand French chateau in miniature, with stunning lawns, wooded walks and flower gardens.

Day 4 After breakfast, depart from hotel and travel to Bletchley Park, the centre for Britain’s codebreakers during WWII. Don’t miss the restored codebreaking ‘huts’ and the museum that displays an original ‘Enigma’ machine. The coach will then depart at approx. 14.00 hours to commence the homeward journey.
