West Cork is one of the highlights of Ireland’s South West, whilst staying in the charming harbour town of Bantry you will take a boat trip to Garnish Island and visit Mizen Head, Ireland’s southernmost point.

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Pembroke to embark on the 14.45 hours Irish Ferries sailing to Rosslare. Continuing the journey on to Waterford and the Dooley’s Hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 You will have some free time in Waterford before starting the journey to the heritage town of Cahir, with one of the largest and best preserved medieval castles in Ireland and various other attractions. Time to explore before departing for Bantry, in the heart of West Cork. A region of lush vegetation, palm trees and semi-tropical flowers with a four night stay at the Maritime Hotel which overlooks the bay.
Day 3 This morning you will take the short drive to the award winning Mizen Head Irish Lights Signal Station at Ireland’s most south-westerly point. At the end of the Mizen Peninsula, the cliffs of Mizen Head rise high above the Atlantic Ocean, where the currents meet from the west and south coasts and waves from the mid- Atlantic crash onto the land, It may be possible to spot the Fastnet Rock off the coast, which is known as Ireland’s Teardrop. If feeling brave, cross the iconic bridge high above the gorge and watch for seals and their pups in the swell below.
Day 4 A day at leisure in Bantry, framed by the craggy Caha Mountains. Discover the fishing harbour, renowned for its mussels, which is watched over by the Georgian splendour of Bantry House and Gardens with its panoramic views of the bay.
Day 5 Today you will be able to admire the Beara Peninsula, steeped in myth and legend, from its winding coastline dotted with traditional fishing villages to the rugged landscape within. Then it is time to enjoy a peaceful ferry ride from the sheltered harbour of Glengarriff to Garnish Island, renowned for its gardens which are laid out in beautiful walks with some, rare stunning specimen plants due to this unique micro climate.
Day 6 Departing for the journey to Cork, which like Venice, has grown from a series of islands in a medieval marsh. Time to explore this compact, friendly town before continuing your journey to reach Wexford for your overnight stay.
Day 7 After an early breakfast, you travel to the port of Rosslare to join the 08.45 hours sailing to Pembroke, and commence the homeward journey.
