Our tour is based in Symonds Yat, a small village in what is arguably the loveliest location in one of Britain's loveliest valleys, the Wye Valley. The scenic location of Symonds Yat, in a wooded gorge, offers a relaxing base from which to explore this enchanting area.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Outward Travel
Day 2 - Full Day - Full Day Wye Valley Cruise & Monmouth
Enjoy a scenic cruise on the River Wye with informative commentary along the way. This a wonderfully peaceful way to take in the spectacular surrounding scenery and wildlife that lives along the banks of the river. We'll also visit Monmouth, a centre for tourism since 1780 and known for its iconic 13th century gatehouse bridge./n
Day 3 - Full Day - Full Day Chepstow & Dean Forest Railway
Situated in the lower Wye Valley, Chepstow is home to a magnificent castle which towers over the cliff sides of the River Wye. We continue into the beautiful Forest of Dean and enjoy a journey on the Dean Forest Railway. Offering the chance to experience the relaxing pace of a typical country line, the Dean Forest Railway winds its way through this beautifully wooded scenery./n
Day 4 - Full Day - Full Day Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway and Broadway
Excursion including a journey aboard the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway, a heritage railway that trundles through the scenery of Cotswolds to reach the picture-postcard village of Broadway. A beautiful and historic village which remains today as it has done for centuries, ancient honey-coloured buildings line the streets of the historic 'broad way' High Street./n
Day 5 - Return Travel
Paddocks Hotel
Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with meadows leading down to the banks of the River Wye. The comfortably furnished lounge and bar areas overlook the river and gorge with splendid views. All bedrooms have private bath or shower and WC, TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Entertainment is provided on two evenings. No lift, but there are entrances to both the ground and middle floors. Please note this hotel is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
