Day 1 - Outward Travel

We visit Kendal, a market town brimming with character and history, known for its cobbled streets, quaint tearooms, and famous mint cake. Explore the fascinating Kendal Museum or take a leisurely stroll along the River Kent before browsing the town’s independent shops and galleries. Day 3 - Bowness-on-Windermere & Ambleside
We travel to the popular village of Bowness-on-Windermere, a lively town nestled on the lakeshore with boats gliding across the water and stunning views all around. With its lively atmosphere and beautiful setting in the heart of the Lake District, Keswick Market is a must-visit for both locals and visitors alike./n

Day 6 - Cockermouth, Whitehaven & Beacon Museum
Explore Cockermouth, the birthplace of poet William Wordsworth, scientist John Dalton, and Bounty mutineer Fletcher Christian. Today, the town boasts attractions like Jennings Brewery, the Kirkgate Arts Centre, and a museum dedicated to tools and ironmongery. With its unique blend of history, literature, culture, and shopping, Cockermouth has evolved into a vibrant artistic hub, featuring workshops, independent galleries, and local shops that celebrate locally made arts and crafts. Our journey continues to Whitehaven, a historic maritime port that was once the third-largest in the UK.
