Wonderful Whitby 5 Days - Royal Hotel
Historic Whitby is an ideal touring base from which to explore the breath taking North York Moors and Yorkshire Coast. This quaint old fishing town, standing on the mouth of the River Esk, is famous as the home of Dracula. Towering over the harbour are the ancient ruins of the Abbey of St Hilda, which dominates East Cliff.

Day 1 - Outward Travel
Day 2 - Full Day North York Moors - Pickering & Goathland
A scenic trip into the delightful North York Moors. Encompassing some of the most rugged and charming countryside in the UK. this region is wonderfully diverse and provides many areas of interest. Along the way we call at attractive Goathland, the home of TV's Heartbeat, and the market town of Pickering. A small town, packed with Heritage, Pickering Castle was originally built under the reign of William the Conqueror and the Church of St Peter and St Paul is renowned for its beautiful frescoes./n
Day 3 - Day at Leisure
Day 4 - Scarborough & Filey
Scarborough really does have it all – dramatic cliffs, prominent castle headland, historic harbour and wonderful beaches. Perhaps take a ride on the oldest funicular railway in Britain, enjoy a stroll through the gardens or enjoy some seaside fun on the award-winning beaches. We continue our day with a visit to Filey. Home to an historic promenade, impressive Edwardian architecture and a five-mile expanse of stunning beach this is a great place to explore. /n
Day 5 - Return Travel

This hotel offers great views of Whitby Abbey, the harbour, the old town and the wonderful beach courtesy of its cliff-top setting.
