Sandown is the island's principal resort, and offers a wealth of entertainments. Sandown Bay is the largest on the island and offers a long, safe, sandy beach framed at either end by stunning white cliffs contrasting with the rich blue sea. On the High Street you will find a wide variety of wonderful shops. Dinosaur Isle offers life-like dinosaur models and skeletons. There is also a traditional pier. In addition, Sandown boasts Brown's Pleasure Park, swimming and squash at the Heights Leisure Centre and a fascinating Geological Museum. There are plenty of evening entertainments to suit all tastes. Nearby Brading has a Roman Villa complete with mosaic floors.

Sitting proudly at the very heart of the Diamond Isle, Carisbrooke Castle has many stories to tell from its past as a military fortress, a King’s prison and Royal summer residence. Enjoy the tranquil Princess Beatrice Garden and stunning St Nicholas’s Chapel as well as meeting the adorable Carisbrooke Donkeys. There will also be chance to explore Newport – the principal town on the Isle of Wight and often referred to as the ‘capital’ of the island./n

A sightseeing spectacular lies ahead today as we make our way along the stunning south coast of the island to take in the magnificent views and seascapes. A geological marvel, the multi-coloured cliffs are a sight to behold and the lighthouse at the end of the Needles is one of the most recognisable sights on the island. We will make our way to Yarmouth where the town is filled with quaint cafes, shops and galleries and the town square is overlooked by a stunning 17th century church./n
Day 6 - Osborne House & Whippingham Church
“It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot” said Queen Victoria of her beloved home on the Isle of Wight. Spectacular from the outside, the opulent interiors give you a glimpse into life at a royal palace where Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and their nine children made a home. The splendid State Rooms, intimate family rooms, private beach and magnificent gardens and grounds combine for a truly memorable day out. We will also call at charming St Mildred’s Church in Whippingham – a place of worship since Norman times and regularly visited by Queen Victoria when she was in residence on the island./n
Day 7 - Return Travel
Situated in a magnificent position on the seafront, opposite the beach and pier and close to the shopping centre, the Bayshore Hotel is a popular choice for coach holidays to Sandown. All 77 bedrooms are centrally heated with TV, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and private bath or shower and WC. The hotel has a light and spacious bar and lounge area with a large dance floor where entertainment is provided most evenings. There is a sun lounge and attractive restaurant overlooking the sea and a games room. Free WiFi in public areas. Lift serves all floors (a few stairs on split level floors).
