Weston-super-Mare is Somerset's best known holiday resort. It is situated in a sheltered bay at the foot of the Mendip Hills with views across the Bristol Channel to South Wales. There are many charming Victorian and Edwardian terraces interspersed with colourful parks and gardens providing fascinating walks; from the delightful rocky point at Anchor Head to the sandy beaches at the southern end of the resort. Weston offers a great many attractions including the Grand Pier – described as “the ultimate 21st Century indoor theme park”! It also boasts a helicopter museum and a big wheel which offers breathtaking views. The sheltered bay is ideal for a quiet walk. Other superb activities include ten pin bowling, golf and bowls. At night there are numerous attractions including top class cabaret at the Playhouse and dancing at the famous Winter Gardens.

Day 1 - Outward Travel


Day 2 - Bath incl Guide
Discover the romantic city of Bath. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, we'll see the city's main sights and places of historical interest before enjoying free time to explore at leisure. The city is home to a wide range of museums from the Roman Baths to the glorious Royal Crescent, and the streets surrounding the beautiful abbey are brimming with independent retailers and delightful coffee shops./n

Day 3 - Day at Leisure


Day 4 - Dunster & Minehead
Set in Exmoor National Park and first referenced in the Doomsday Book./nDunster Castle is a Grade I listed building surrounded by spectacular gardens. (Entrance fees apply. May not be suitable for mobility impaired guests due to steep hills and steps)/nDunster Water Mill is a fine example of a fully-restored working water mill in the West Country./nMinehead, once a port on the Bristol Channel, now has a flat promenade housing cafés, bars and shops as well as offering access to the beach./nSt. Michael’s Church, built around the 14th to 15th century, can be found on the lower slopes of North Hill./nBlenheim Gardens, Minehead’s largest park, opened in 1925 and remains a popular attraction./n

Anchor Head Hotel
Have you been looking at coach holidays to Weston Super Mare? Look no further, just take a look at the Anchor Head Hotel; splendidly situated between Weston's two piers and close to the boating slipway and a small beach; the promenade walk begins right next to the hotel.
