One of the oldest settlements in Wales, Carmarthen is brimming with historic architecture, such as Clough Williams-Ellis�s bridge over the Towy, and boasts a bustling market and shopping streets. Reputed to be the birthplace of King Arthur and Merlin, Carmarthen was the largest town in Wales during the coal boom of the 17th century. Today Carmarthen is home to a thriving university, yet retains its roots as a farming community famed for its high quality sheep and cattle.

Full Day Excursion to National Botanic Garden of Wales and Llandeilo
A short journey takes us to the traditional Carmarthenshire town of Llandeilo, with its historic church, independent shops and cafés. Our main visit of the day is to the first major Botanic Garden to be created this century. Features include a Mediterranean Garden, Double Walled Garden and Great Glass House (entrance included in the tour cost).Full Day Excursion to Pembroke, Narberth & Laugharne
Pembroke was the birthplace of Henry VII and site of a prolonged siege by Oliver Cromwell from which the town retains a magnificent castle. Narberth is a delightful small town with an intriguing museum, an atmospheric castle ruin and a wide range of independent quirky shops. We also visit Laugharne (pronounce Larne), which is the former home of the poet Dylan Thomas, but it is also interesting in itself as an ancient town with a Welsh castle and quaint winding streets.
