Reputed to be the birthplace of King Arthur and Merlin, Carmarthen was the largest town in Wales during the coal boom of the 17th century. Today Carmarthen is home to a thriving university, yet retains its roots as a farming community famed for its high quality sheep and cattle.

Full Day Excursion to Aberaeron & Cardigan
Heading North along the coast, we visit the quaint Regency style resort of Aberaeron as well as the former port town of Cardigan with its historic quayside and castle. The area is renowned for its honey and for being the inspiration for Dylan Thomas� "Under Milk Wood�.
Full Day Excursion to Pembroke & Tenby
Out tour visits Pembroke, birthplace of Henry VII and site of a prolonged siege by Oliver Cromwell from which the town retains a magnificent castle. In Tenby we find two superb beaches and a photogenic harbour overlooked by pastel coloured Georgian and Regency buildings. The narrow streets and fortified walls combine to create a unique seaside atmosphere.
Ivy Bush Hotel
This centrally located, comfortable hotel in Carmarthen, which once welcomed Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, boasts a gym with sauna (free of charge), a Residents lounge, and a bar with sports shown on large screen television.
