Itinerary
Day 1 - Outward Travel
Day 2 - Full Day to Devil's Bridge & Aberystwyth
From the Borders to the sea we make our way across Wales to reach the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Along the way we travel via Devil’s Bridge, nestled in the Rheidol Valley and so-called according to legend that the original bridge was built by the devil himself. The seaside town of Aberystwyth lies in the middle of the Ceredigion coast and has a bustling town centre. Why not take the cliff railway to enjoy superb views of the town and coast beyond!/n
Day 3 - Half day to Elan Valley
A short journey takes us through the tiny market town of Rhayader with its famous memorial clock./nWe enjoy a scenic guided tour (included in tour cost) by coach of the Elan Valley. /nThe valley's reservoirs supply water to the whole of Birmingham./n
Day 4 - Full Day Ludlow & Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre
Today we explore the beautiful Welsh Borders as we visit the Shropshire Hills Discover Centre – a fascinating centre that features an outstanding panoramic film that takes you high above the hills, towns and rivers of the surrounding landscape as well as a much-loved replica of a fully grown mammoth that was found in the area! We continue our day with a visit to Ludlow, a thriving market town and an architectural gem situated atop a cliff above the River Teme./n
Day 5 - Return Travel
