Torquay is one of Britain's most famous resorts, situated at the heart of 22 miles of unspoilt coastline, often referred to as the "English Riviera". It has a mild climate, sparkling blue waters and in its beautiful public gardens you will see subtropical plants and palm trees. Torquay has something to offer everyone: by day you can relax on one of the clean sandy beaches, explore the bustling harbour and marina and the excellent shops or if you are feeling more active there are lovely walks, or activities such as sailing, bowls, golf or fishing. By night you'll be spoilt for choice: there are theatres, night clubs, cabarets and discothèques and of course you'll see the lights illuminating the promenade reflected across the beautiful bay. The many local attractions include Paignton Zoo, Babbacombe Model Village, Kent's Cavern, Torbay Steam Railway and Cockington thatched village.

Day 1 - Outward Travel - Twixmas
Travel to your chosen Leisureplex Hotel and enjoy a fun-filled Christmas break!/nYour Twixmas Break includes: 3 nights dinner, bed & breakfast, Bucks Fizz on arrival and fantastic evening entertainment./nOn the final night of your stay there will be an optional fancy dress party./n
Day 2 - Excursion to Exeter
Explore the cathedral city of Exeter, the regional capital of South Devon. The city’s skyline is dominated by the twin towers of the Norman Cathedral and there is so much history to discover in the historic quayside. /n
Day 3 - Excursion to Buckfast Abbey & Totnes
Visit pretty Totnes, a fascinating town situated on the beautiful River Dart. We also call at tranquil Buckfast Abbey, famous for it’s tonic wine and offering a refuge away from chaotic everyday life – why not enjoy a cake in the Grange?/n
Day 4 - Return Travel
Metropole Hotel
Situated in the heart of Torquay’s Hotel district just a five minute walk
from the beach, the Metropole Hotel offers a great location to explore
beautiful Torquay and the well-renowned English Riviera. The hotel features
a restaurant, relaxing lounge and bar with dancefloor, where you can find
entertainment on most evenings. The hotel has undergone a multi-million
pound refurbishment since joining the Group in 2019. The hotel also boasts
an outdoor seating area, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying a
relaxing drink. Our en-suite bedrooms come with comfy beds for a great
nights sleep, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV with Freeview
and radio and hairdryer. The hotel also features a large car park,
Wi-Fi throughout and lifts serving all floors.
