Torquay is one of Britain's most famous resorts, situated at the heart of 22 miles of unspoilt coastline, often referred to as the "English Riviera". It has a mild climate, sparkling blue waters and in its beautiful public gardens you will see subtropical plants and palm trees. Torquay has something to offer everyone: by day you can relax on one of the clean sandy beaches, explore the bustling harbour and marina and the excellent shops or if you are feeling more active there are lovely walks, or activities such as sailing, bowls, golf or fishing. By night you'll be spoilt for choice: there are theatres, night clubs, cabarets and discothèques and of course you'll see the lights illuminating the promenade reflected across the beautiful bay. The many local attractions include Paignton Zoo, Babbacombe Model Village, Kent's Cavern, Torbay Steam Railway and Cockington thatched village. Torquay’s harbour-side has recently been redeveloped and features Living Coasts, a fascinating wildlife attraction adjacent to the Regina Hotel.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Regina Hotel
Wonderfully situated on the harbour-side, with the principal shops and theatre a gentle stroll away, The Regina Hotel is an ideal destination for tourists seeking coach holidays to Torquay. The restaurant, lounge and reception of the Regina has been extensively refurbished in 2023. Interestingly, this characteristic hotel was once inhabited by one of England’s most influential poets - Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The great Regina Hotel has 67 bedrooms with central heating and private bath or shower and WC. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer and TV with radio channels. There is an air-conditioned restaurant and entertainment most evenings. Lift serves most rooms (except Barrett Browning’s former house). Limited car parking with public car park across the road.
