Torquay is one of Britain's most famous resorts, situated at the heart of 22 miles of unspoilt coastline, often referred to as the "English Riviera". It has a mild climate, sparkling blue waters and in its beautiful public gardens you will see subtropical plants and palm trees. Torquay has something to offer everyone: by day you can relax on one of the clean sandy beaches, explore the bustling harbour and marina and the excellent shops or if you are feeling more active there are lovely walks, or activities such as sailing, bowls, golf or fishing. By night you'll be spoilt for choice: there are theatres, night clubs, cabarets and discothèques and of course you'll see the lights illuminating the promenade reflected across the beautiful bay. The many local attractions include Paignton Zoo, Babbacombe Model Village, Kent's Cavern, Torbay Steam Railway and Cockington thatched village.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Outward Travel - Festive Specials
Travel to your chosen Alfa Hotel and enjoy a fun-filled festive getaway! Your Festive Special Break includes: a welcoming glass of Mulled Wine on arrival, a traditional Christmas Day lunch with a special visit from Santa, plus evening entertainment featuring games and prizes./nTo round off your stay, an optional fancy dress party will take place on the final night./n
Day 2 - Excursion to Exeter
Explore the cathedral city of Exeter, the regional capital of South Devon. The city’s skyline is dominated by the twin towers of the Norman Cathedral and there is so much history to discover in the historic quayside. /n
Day 3 - Day at Leisure
Day 4 - Plymouth & Festive Train
After an early dinner we depart to Queens Park Station, Paignton, where our train with vintage carriages await you - decorated with thousands of lights, both inside and out. Fifteen minutes later, once you've had time to settle back into your seat, you will arrive at Churston Station where the show begins. As the anticipation builds and minutes after leaving Churston, you will be propelled through the 450-metre Greenway tunnel that leads you to the enchanted forest which will be transformed by a multitude of lights with brand new feature displays - plus some old favourites! The stunning show ends as you leave the forest only to be greeted by the twinkling lights of Dartmouth reflected on the river Dart. After a turnaround at Kingswear and with the opportunity to disembark and take photographs from the platform, you will be on your way back to Paignton to experience the spectacle from a different direction./nToday’s journey takes us to Britain’s Ocean City, Plymouth, where Stunning coastal views, fascinating history, and vibrant culture await. Experience a city full of attractions, shopping, entertainment, and world-class events, where the city meets the sea and adventure is never far away. Situated in the heart of Torquay’s Hotel district just a five minute walk
from the beach, the Metropole Hotel offers a great location to explore
beautiful Torquay and the well-renowned English Riviera. The hotel features
a restaurant, relaxing lounge and bar with dancefloor, where you can find
entertainment on most evenings. The hotel has undergone a multi-million
pound refurbishment since joining the Group in 2019. The hotel also boasts
an outdoor seating area, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying a
relaxing drink. Our en-suite bedrooms come with comfy beds for a great
nights sleep, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV with Freeview
and radio and hairdryer. The hotel also features a large car park,
