The former 'Capital of Culture' is well known for its lively atmosphere, magnificent buildings, fascinating waterfront and superb museums, which all make for an absorbing day out.

Full Day Excursion to Chester
We have plenty of time to explore this lovely city, created by the Romans some 2000 years ago. The centre is compact and easy to get around on foot by means of a waymarked Millenium Festival Trail. Sights include the Eastgate Clock, Chester Visitor Centre, Roman Amphitheatre and the most complete city walls in Britain. There is even a Town Crier that welcomes visitors at 12 noon at the city centre Cross.

Prince Of Wales Hotel
Southport's most famous hotel is situated in the heart of the town, on fabulous Lord Street. There is a smart lounge bar serving tea and coffee and tempting cakes throughout the day and a restaurant serving buffet-style meals. Bedrooms have been designed to reflect the hotel's Victorian heritage, whilst providing all modern comforts including private bath, shower and WC, colour TV, radio, direct dial telephone, hair dryer, trouser press and tea/coffee making facilities.
