Sandown, Steam Railway & Needles 5 Days - Bayshore
The Isle of Wight has a great deal to offer with many superb sandy beaches, mile upon mile of stunning countryside and coastal walks and all the usual modern holiday facilities in the resorts. Sandown is the island's principal resort, and offers a wealth of entertainments. Sandown Bay is the largest on the island and offers a long, safe, sandy beach framed at either end by stunning white cliffs contrasting with the rich blue sea. On the High Street you will find a wide variety of wonderful shops. Dinosaur Isle offers life-like dinosaur models and skeletons. There is also a traditional pier. In addition, Sandown boasts Brown's Pleasure Park, swimming and squash at the Heights Leisure Centre and a fascinating Geological Museum. There are plenty of evening entertainments to suit all tastes. Nearby Brading has a Roman Villa complete with mosaic floors.

Day 1 - Outward Travel
Day 2 - Alum Bay & Yarmouth
A sightseeing spectacular lies ahead today as we make our way along the stunning south coast of the island to take in the magnificent views and seascapes. A geological marvel, the multi-coloured cliffs are a sight to behold and the lighthouse at the end of the Needles is one of the most recognisable sights on the island. We will make our way to Yarmouth where the town is filled with quaint cafes, shops and galleries and the town square is overlooked by a stunning 17th century church./n
Day 3 - Day at Leisure
Day 4 - IOW Steam Railway, Ryde & Newport
Enjoy a unique view of some of the Diamond Isle’s unspoilt countryside as you settle back in the beautifully restored carriages of the Isle of Wight Railway. We’ll enjoy some free time in Victorian Ryde as well as calling at Newport, the Isle of Wight’s ‘capital’./n
Day 5 - Return Travel
Bayshore Hotel
In a magnificent position on the seafront, across from Sandown’s Pier
and beach and close to the resort’s shopping area. You will find directly
in front of the hotel a delightful flat stroll towards Shanklin, lined with
colourful beach huts. The hotel features a light and airy restaurant
with sea views and a ballroom, where you will find entertainment most
evenings. You will also find spectacular sea views from many of the
hotel’s bedrooms or the hotel sun lounge. Our en-suite bedrooms come
with comfy beds for a great nights sleep, tea and coffee making facilities,
flat screen TV with Freeview and radio and hairdryer. Lift serving all
floors and a small number of steps to the entrance.
