Lochgilphead is situated at the apex of a short loch called Loch Gilp, an offshoot on the western shore of the much larger Loch Fyne. Founded in 1745 by the 3rd Duke of Argyll, Inveraray is a classic example of an 18th century town and Scottish Georgian architecture./n
Day 3 - Day at Leisure
Day 4 - Full Day - Isle of Mull (Oban Tours)
The main town, Tobermory, is famed for cheerfully painted waterfront buildings and the yachts bobbing in the natural harbour./nMull is one of the best places to spot rare white-tailed sea eagles, whales, dolphins and basking sharks./nThe small Mull Museum (entry fees apply) is crammed with information about Mull's past. /n
