The picturesque town of Melrose is located next to the River Tweed at foot of the triple peaks of the Eildon Hills; a distinctive landmark of the Scottish Borders. The area around Melrose is thought to have been inhabited for thousands of years with the Romans arriving in AD79 or 80 and building a fort nearby named Trimontium; 'Place of the Three Hills’. The Three Hills Roman Heritage Centre houses the Trimontium Museum which is dedicated to Roman life in Scotland. Melrose Abbey lies to the North East side of the centre of the town. With an abundance of independent shops and cafes, there is ample things to do whilst visiting this pretty little town.

Day 2 - Edinburgh & The Spirit of Scotland Show
Leaving late morning, we travel to capital Edinburgh where there will be free time to explore this most historic city. Discover the atmosphere on the Royal Mile or hit the shops on Princes Street. /nLater in the day, we make our way to the Spirit of Scotland Show. Take your seats for a sumptuous, Scottish, 4 course dinner with a complimentary drink before an unforgettable evening of traditional Scottish entertainment including dance, story-telling, music and bagpipes./nPlease note that dinner at the hotel is not included on this day./n
Day 3 - Day at Leisure
Day 4 - Full Day Edinburgh & Peebles
We enjoy a second visit to capital Edinburgh with free time to explore and returning to Melrose via charming Peebles./nA charming and beautiful Border Town, Peebles is set on the banks of the River Tweed and home to spectacular scenery, wonderful shops and delightful cafes./n
Day 5 - Return Travel
