Full Day Excursion to the Trossachs
Travelling first via Crianlarich, Lochearnhead, Loch Lubnaig and the Falls of Leny to Callander. Then on past Loch Venachar to the Trossachs. Returning via Aberfoyle.
Full Day Excursion to Loch Lomond and the Bonnie Clyde
We travel alongside Loch Long and Gare Loch to Helensburgh, on the Bonnie Clyde. In the afternoon we journey along the western side of Loch Lomond before taking a trip on the loch (included in the tour cost).
Full Day Excursion to the Falkirk Wheel & Stirling
We visit the Falkirk Wheel, the world's first and only rotating boatlift! We discover this fascinating construction by taking a breath-taking boat journey (boat fare included in the tour cost). Returning via Stirling, one of Britain's most historic cities with a magnificent castle and ancient market street.
Note: It is possible to join this tour as an en route departure from Chester-le-Street and Newcastle-upon-Tyne, thereby avoiding the feeder service.
Rob Roy Hotel
Perfectly situated at the gateway to the Trossachs, the Rob Roy is set in its own grounds, one mile from the picturesque village of Aberfoyle. The main building houses the lounge, bar and dining room, which is used for entertainment 3 or 4 nights per week. There is a second restaurant serving a la carte meals. The 103 bedrooms are all 'no smoking' and are situated in separate buildings adjacent to the hotel on 2 floors, served by a lift.
