Between both the North and South Parades and the beach you will find a boating lake, bowling greens, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, mini golf and the lovely Compass Gardens and Tower Gardens. In the evening the town comes to life in a different way with the Pleasure Beach lit up and theatre audiences throng to see popular stars entertain. Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2 - Lincoln
The top half of the city features the Cathedral, Lincolnshire museum, old gaol/castle and tropical planthouse (entry fees apply)./nAt the lower end of town are the shops and the High Bridge over the Witham: the oldest bridge with buildings on it in the UK./nThere is a bus service linking the upper and lower halves of the city, free to bus pass holders. No need to struggle up Steep Hill!/n

Day 3 - Boston & Spalding
Boston was once England's busiest port and the place from which a group sailed in 1630 to found the famous town of the same name in America./n"The Stump" is 272ft high. On a clear day, from the top it is possible to see Lincoln Cathedral nearly 30 miles away./nThe bulb-growing centre of Spalding is famous for tulips and daffodils. The 13th century church has unusual double aisles. /n

Day 6 - Mablethorpe, Louth & Wainfleet
Mablethorpe is a quaint reminder of British beach holidays of years gone by - a tranquil coastal town with miles of sands./nLouth is the capital of the Wolds. The Louth museum (entry fees apply) houses the Louth Panorama, an 1840's view from the top of the church steeple./nWainfleet is an ancient port town and is home to Bateman's Brewery (guided visit included in tour cost). /n
