Ilfracombe nestles around a harbour as old and as beautiful as any in Britain with the breathtaking scenery of North Devon as a backdrop. For the energetic there are splendid walks along the Coastal Path, the famous Torrs walks or swimming from the Tunnel beaches and coves. For those who like to take things a bit easier, one can simply stroll through the delightful gardens or while away an hour or two watching the ever-changing harbour scene. A boat trip is a "must" during your stay to see the spectacular cliffs of North Devon or visit the legendary Isle of Lundy. There is also plenty to do in the evenings with theatre, concerts, and cinema, as well as the entertainment provided at our hotel.

Day 1 - Outward Travel
Day 2 - Exmoor & Dunster
We travel across Exmoor National Park to reach the medieval village of Dunster. With over 200 listed buildings and monuments it is one of the most intact medieval villages remaining in England. The Yarn Market, Dunster Castle, Working Watermill and St George’s Church are just some of the historic attractions to admire on this wonderful excursion./n
Day 3 - Day at Leisure
Day 4 - Bideford & Clovelly Village
A thriving market town, we have some free time in Bideford before making our way to magical Clovelly. Once owned by the Queen of England, this still privately owned village was unknown to the outside world until the 19th century! Clinging to the cliff face, there is no vehicle traffic here and the famous donkeys still work the steep, cobbled street that tumbles down to the ancient fishing harbour. There is a land rover transfer (payable locally) to take visitors back to the top of the village./n
Day 5 - Return Travel

In one of the best positions in Ilfracombe, overlooking Wildersmouth beach and the Landmark Theatre, the hotel is just a short stroll away from the high street and harbour. The hotel features a large restaurant and bar and entertainment room with dancefloor, where you will find entertainment most evenings. From the hotel’s lounge, you can relax and enjoy a drink.
