Ilfracombe nestles around a harbour as old and as beautiful as any in Britain with the breathtaking scenery of North Devon as a backdrop. For the energetic there are splendid walks along the Coastal Path, the famous Torrs walks or swimming from the Tunnel beaches and coves. For those who like to take things a bit easier, one can simply stroll through the delightful gardens or while away an hour or two watching the ever-changing harbour scene. A boat trip is a "must" during your stay to see the spectacular cliffs of North Devon or visit the legendary Isle of Lundy. There is also plenty to do in the evenings with theatre, concerts, and cinema, as well as the entertainment provided at our hotel.

Day 1 - Outward Travel
Day 2 - RHS Rosemoor & Dartington Crystal
Set in the heart of North Devon, RHS Rosemoor is a tranquil haven with themed ‘garden rooms’ to explore. Celebrating the different seasons, enjoy the scents of over 250 rose varieties, admire the blazes of red, orange and yellow in the Hot Garden or relax in the soothing pastels and blues of the Cool Garden. There are trees here from every continent of the Northern Hemisphere, as well as rare apple trees in the orchard, woodland walks and locally sourced delicacies to be enjoyed in the tearoom. Later in the day we’ll also call at Dartington Crystal – a sparkling attraction that spans the history of the delicate products that have been created here for over 50 years./n
Day 3 - Day at Leisure
Day 4 - Arlington Court & Woolacombe
Discover Arlington Court – a jewel situated on the edge of Exmoor National Park. A complete family estate with over 500 years of history admire the beautiful Victorian gardens, stunning deer park and the Carriage Museum with its range of historic vehicles from elegant coaches to humble carts. We also visit Woolacombe – who’s beach has been voted into the top 20 beaches in the world!/n
Day 5 - Return Travel
Imperial Hotel
In one of the best positions in Ilfracombe, overlooking Wildersmouth beach and the Landmark Theatre, the hotel is just a short stroll away from the high street and harbour. The hotel features a large restaurant and bar and entertainment room with dancefloor, where you will find entertainment most evenings. From the hotel’s lounge, you can relax and enjoy a drink. You will also find fantastic sea views from many of the hotel’s bedrooms. Our en-suite bedrooms come with comfy beds for a great nights sleep, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV with Freeview and radio and hairdryer.
