Historic York & Eden Camp 5 Days - Monarch Hotel
The long beach front, historic buildings and range of entertainment facilities make Bridlington a fantastic destination on the Yorkshire Coast. Bridlington Old Town is traditional Yorkshire in a nutshell. Packed with attractive antique shops and restaurants, the Old Town was the setting for the Dad’s Army film. The delightful mix of brick and stone buildings, colourful shop fronts, popular cafés and individual shops provide a relaxing environment for shopping or strolling. Entertainment and art galleries are housed in the refurbished Spa Centre on the seafront. A network of land-trains transports guests around the town, along the front, and as far afield as Sewerby Hall and Gardens, a delightful stately home owned and managed by East Riding Council.

Today we visit York, a vibrant festival city with Roman roots and a Viking past, offering an adventure for everyone. York boasts a wealth of places to visit including the Roman walls, the famous York Minster, the National Railway Museum and the fascinating Jorvik Viking Centre (entrance fees may apply). You can take a stroll down the Shambles, one of the best preserved medieval streets in Europe, believed to be the inspiration for Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter films. /n
Day 3 - Day at Leisure
Day 4 - Eden Camp & Pickering
Excursion to the award-winning Eden Camp. Explore the individual buildings that tells a different story of World War II history from the rise of fascism to the challenges on the Home Front. /nWe also visit the market town of Pickering - the gateway to the North York Moors National Park. /n
Day 5 - Return Travel
Monarch Hotel
In a prime seafront location on Bridlington’s South beach, the Monarch
Hotel offers breathtaking panoramic sea views. Situated close to the
resort’s Spa Theatre and just a short stroll to the busy fishing harbour,
the Monarch Hotel is sure to provide the perfect base for exploring
Bridlington and surrounding areas. The hotel features a quiet lounge,
restaurant and bar area on the first floor, as well as a good size
dancefloor where entertainment is regularly featured. Our en-suite
