Located south of Aberdeen along the coast, Stonehaven is a delightful Scottish town with an attractive harbour./nIt has many ancient buildings including the 15th Century Tolbooth which houses a fascinating museum (entry fee may apply)./nDating from the 13th century, Drum Castle was owned by the Irvine family for over 650 years./nWe explore the varied heritage of this intriguing building on our guided tour (included in tour cost)./nThe gardens include an historic collection of roses./n

Day 3 - Braemar and the Highland Games Centre
Surrounded by the fine Grampian Mountains and woodland scenery, Braemar is a delightful village./nA quarter of a mile east of the town stands Braemar Castle, a 17th century castle with a colourful past (entry fees may apply)./nThe recently opened Braemar Highland Games Centre is an iconic new heritage centre at the home of the world-famous Braemar Gathering. /nWe discover the 200-year history of the Braemar Royal Highland Society and The Braemar Highland Games. /nOur tour (included in holiday cost) includes a bagpipe welcome and tea with scone./n
