Visitors enjoy a huge range of attractions including the Model Village, a magnificent Sea Life Centre and the Hippodrome Circus, one of the longest running permanent circuses in England. Historically Great Yarmouth’s South Quay was a bustling port, described by Daniel Defoe as the finest quay in Europe with its many Georgian buildings. Those with an interest in history might also enjoy the Nelson Museum and the preserved Row Houses, unique to Great Yarmouth. There’s something for everyone in England’s far East!

Day 1 - Outward Travel


Day 2 - Full Day - Cromer & The Broads
Cromer was once a small fishing village, and has a lifeboat station and RNLI museum open to the public./nIts narrow twisting streets and colourful gardens are full of character. /nA lively seafront promenade and traditional pier frame the sandy beach. /nFrom Wroxham we take a short trip on the Norfolk Broads (boat fare included in the tour cost). /nTake in the tranquil and beautiful scenery while enjoying the skipper's informative commentary./nLook out for the abundance of local water birds as they come into view./n

Day 3 - Full Day - Norwich
Norfolk's county town is still based on a medieval street plan and has many delightful buildings and alleyways. /nIts splendid cathedral and castle are well worth a visit (entry fees may apply)./nA market is held every day of the week in front of the Guildhall. /n

Day 4 - Day at Leisure

Aldeburgh is a picturesque coastal town./nInteresting buildings include the moot hall, windmill and Martello Tower./nFormerly a Tudor port, Aldeburgh's shipwrights built Drake’s Golden Hind./nSouthwold is a charming village on the River Blyth with a pier and lighthouse./n

New Beach Hotel
Situated in Great Yarmouth's most central and lively location, on the sea front opposite Britannia Pier and adjacent to the shops and resort amenities. (Note that it can be quite lively in the street outside the sea facing rooms.) Having recently undergone a major refurbishment, all bedrooms are centrally heated with private bath or shower and WC, tea/coffee making facilities, internal telephone, hair dryer and Freeview TV.

For 2016 all public areas will be on the ground floor including a quiet lounge and a new bar lounge, both overlooking the sea front and a new restaurant and entertainment room where entertainment is provided most evenings (accessed via 2 steps).
