Folkestone & France 7 Days - Grand Burstin Hotel
Folkestone is unusual in that it lacks a conventional seafront, with most of the resort's facilities being concentrated at the level of the cliff-top Victorian boulevard known as The Leas, whose wide lawns and colourful flower beds are a constant delight. The older part of the town with its cobbled streets and village-like atmosphere is accessible from The Leas via a Victorian water-powered cliff lift. The newly refurbished Leas Cliff Hall offers a wide variety of evening entertainment while the Metropole Galleries provide a range of exhibitions. France is less than an hour away via the Eurotunnel. Nearby is the bathing beach at East Cliff Sands, at the foot of cliffs crowned by a Martello Tower - a reminder that relations with France were not always as cordial as today! Folkestone is a large town with plenty of amenities, all within easy reach of the hotel.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
