Day 4 - Full Day Hever Castle & Gardens
Be inspired by romantic Hever Castle and gardens. The childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the castle formed an unlikely backdrop to a sequence of tumultuous events that changed the course of English history forever. Much of what can be seen today is the result of the remarkable efforts of William Waldorf Astor who used his fortune to restore the castle. The panelled rooms house fine furniture, intricate tapestries and precious antiques – and even prayer books that bear the inscriptions and signature of Anne Boleyn herself. Take some time to explore the beautiful gardens which feature a topiary chess set, a rhododendron walk and a quintessential English Rose Garden with over 5000 rose bushes./n
