Renowned for its fine collection of rhododendrons and conifers there are towering redwoods, spectacular viewpoints and a stroll can bring you close encounters with red squirrels, sparrow hawks and, if you're really lucky, golden eagles soaring high above. McCaigs Tower dominates the skyline overlooking the harbour and other major landmarks include the pink granite cathederal and 600 year old ruined keep of Dunollie Castle.
