Day 2 - Full Day Bakewell & Chatsworth
Famed for its pudding, Bakewell is the biggest town in the Peak District National Park and home to traditional stone buildings, a medieval stone bridge and pretty courtyards. We’ll have some free time to explore here before we continue our day with a visit to glorious Chatsworth. Known as the Palace of the Peaks, Chatsworth is home to the Devonshire Family and has over 30 rooms to explore from the magnificent Painted Hall and regal State Rooms to the family-used chapel and beautiful Sculpture Gallery. From the house, exit into the transformed gardens with its instantly recognisable fountain. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding scenery or grab a bit to eat in the beautiful 18th century stable block which is also where you’ll find the delightful souvenir shop./n

Day 3 - Half Day Matlock Bath
Matlock Bath was one of the first tourist destinations and is sometimes referred to as the ‘seaside town without a sea’. Known for its colourful buildings set alongside the River Derwent, in its heyday it was known as Little Switzerland – take a riverside walk or perhaps join the Heights of Abraham cable cars to enjoy the spectacular views./n

Day 4 - Full Day Peak District (Hope Valley) & Buxton
Today we make our way through the pretty Hope Valley which is one of the best-loved parts of the National Park, passing some of the finest views and picturesque valleys in the region. Take in the spectacular scenery as we make our way through Hathersage, Hope and Castleton, to reach the spa town of Buxton – the ‘Bath’ of the North. This elegant town has been welcoming visitors since Roman times and is renowned for its Georgian and Victorian architecture, range of museums and charming shops, cafes and restaurants./n
