Weston-super-Mare is Somerset's best known holiday resort. It is situated in a sheltered bay at the foot of the Mendip Hills with views across the Bristol Channel to South Wales. There are many charming Victorian and Edwardian terraces interspersed with colourful parks and gardens providing fascinating walks; from the delightful rocky point at Anchor Head to the sandy beaches at the southern end of the resort. Weston offers a great many attractions including the Grand Pier – described as “the ultimate 21st Century indoor theme park”! It also boasts a helicopter museum and a big wheel which offers breathtaking views. The sheltered bay is ideal for a quiet walk. Other superb activities include ten pin bowling, golf and bowls. At night there are numerous attractions including top class cabaret at the Playhouse and dancing at the famous Winter Gardens.

Day 1 - Outward Travel


Day 2 - Cheddar Gorge & Wells
Home of the highest inland cliffs in the country, the spectacular gorge slices through the Mendip hills. /nThe extensive 'Shop at the Gorge' gift/souvenir centre and coffee shop offer retail therapy, snacks and drinks./nAttractions include Gough's Cave, Museum of Prehistory, and the Lookout Tower (unsuitable for guests with mobility impairments)./nSituated in Somerset, this medieval city is the smallest in England. Vicars Close is claimed to be Europe's most complete medieval street, with houses dating from 1348./nThe Cathedral Church of Saint Andrew, commonly known as Wells Cathedral, is set in the middle of the city and was erected between the 12th and 15th centuries./nBishop's Palace, and it's accompanying Bishop's House, is still home to the Bishop of Bath and Wells and is situated adjacent to the Cathedral. Home of the Royal Crescent designed by John Wood the Younger between 1767 and 1774, and The Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul./nMuseums in Bath are dedicated to Fashion, the Postal service and Astronomy. Anchor Head Hotel
Have you been looking at coach holidays to Weston Super Mare?
