The Vale of Clwyd lies in the county of Denbighshire in northeast Wales. /n The River Clwyd runs the full length of the vale./nThe ancient town of Llangollen, situated on the River Dee, is home to the International Eisteddfod, the Welsh festival of literature, music and performance./nLlangollen Museum allows both visitors and locals easy access to information and displays about the area's heritage./n

Day 3 - Full Day - Chester Half Day
Chester is a classic, contemporary city bursting with shops, eateries, tourist attractions and over 2000 years of history./nHome of the most complete city walls, oldest racecourse and largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain as well as the UK's number one zoo (entry fees may apply)./nChester Cathedral's 'Tower Tour' allows you to see one city, two countries and five counties from the top of the tower (fees apply. Day 4 - Full Day - Anderton Canal Lift & The National Waterways Museum
The National Waterways Museum lies on the banks of the Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal./nThe collection includes many boats in the museum's basin and several indoor displays./nMuseum entry is included in tour cost./nThe mighty Anderton Boat Lift is known as one of the 'Seven Wonders of the Waterways'./nBoats and barges are lifted 50 feet from the River Weaver Navigation to the Trent & Mersey Canal./nWe take a bot trip on the lift (included in tour cost)./n
