Day 3 - Southport
Delightful parks, a fabulous Marine Lake and one of the longest piers in Britain make Southport a perfect resort town. /nWide unspoiled beaches and splendid sand hills constitute one of the most important areas for nature conservation in the UK. /nLord Street, with its beautiful cast iron canopies and wide pavements, is home to delightful cafés and many restaurants./n

A delightful scenic drive through some of the loveliest country in the North, to Clitheroe,/nWe also have time to explore historic Skipton, with its castle, museum (entry fees may apply) and busy canal basin./nClitheroe's hilltop castle with its terraced gardens dominates the picturesque town, home to many small shops and tea rooms./n
