The long beach front, historic buildings and range of entertainment facilities make Bridlington a fantastic destination on the Yorkshire Coast. Bridlington Old Town is traditional Yorkshire in a nutshell. Packed with attractive antique shops and restaurants, the Old Town was the setting for the Dad’s Army film. The delightful mix of brick and stone buildings, colourful shop fronts, popular cafés and individual shops provide a relaxing environment for shopping or strolling. Entertainment and art galleries are housed in the refurbished Spa Centre on the seafront. A network of land-trains transports guests around the town, along the front, and as far afield as Sewerby Hall and Gardens, a delightful stately home owned and managed by East Riding Council.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Outward Travel
Day 2 - Whitby & North York Moors Railway
All aboard the North York Moors Railway for a journey through the wonderful scenery of the North York Moors. The nostalgic carriages will transport you to a bygone era as the beautiful scenery sails by. Keep an eye out for pretty Goathland Station – the ‘celebrity’ of the railway having featured in the first Harry Potter film, Aidensfield in Heartbeat and Downton Abbey! Our journey brings us to wonderful Whitby – a seaside, harbour town with plenty to offer in its old cobbled streets which are overlooked by the dramatic ruins of the mysterious abbey./n
Day 3 - York
Today we visit York, a vibrant festival city with Roman roots and a Viking past, offering an adventure for everyone. York boasts a wealth of places to visit including the Roman walls, the famous York Minster, the National Railway Museum and the fascinating Jorvik Viking Centre (entrance fees may apply). You can take a stroll down the Shambles, one of the best preserved medieval streets in Europe, believed to be the inspiration for Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter films. /n
Day 4 - Day at Leisure
Day 5 - Day at Leisure / Evening to Uptown Girl at Bridlington Spa
Enjoy a day at leisure in seaside and then after dinner make your way over to Bridlington Spa and take your seats for an evening of entertainment! This stunning new stage production features a full band dedicated to bringing both authenticity and electrifying energy. This two-hour concert features nonstop hits including: 'My Life', 'Just the Way You Are', 'Tell Her About It', 'Piano Man', 'Uptown Girl' and many more. Doors open at 19:00 and the show will finish approximately 21:30./n
Day 6 - Scarborough & Filey
Scarborough really does have it all – dramatic cliffs, prominent castle headland, historic harbour and wonderful beaches. Perhaps take a ride on the oldest funicular railway in Britain, enjoy a stroll through the gardens or enjoy some seaside fun on the award-winning beaches. We continue our day with a visit to Filey. Home to an historic promenade, impressive Edwardian architecture and a five-mile expanse of stunning beach this is a great place to explore. /n
