Our base is Limpley Stoke, a delightful village in the Avon valley on the outskirts of Bath. The Cotswolds is England�s largest designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It covers parts of six counties and is popular with international visitors who come from all over the world to experience this archetypally English countryside with river valleys, water meadows and beech woods, sleepy limestone villages and historic market towns where time sometimes appears to have stood still for centuries. Our excursions take us to the architectural splendour of Bath, the cathedral city of Salisbury and the picturesque village of Shaftesbury as well as the picture postcard villages of the beautiful Cotswolds.

Full Day Excursion to Salisbury and Shaftesbury
Salisbury's history dates back to the nearby Iron Age fort, but it is chiefly famous for having the tallest cathedral spire in England along with a superbly well preserved medieval town plan with many wooden buildings. Shaftesbury is a famously picturesque village.
Full Day Excursion to Bath
Standing majestically on the banks of the River Avon, Bath is steeped in history. From the Roman Baths to the elegant Georgian terraces so well known to Jane Austen, it is an architectural wonderland. We have a guided sightseeing tour of Bath to see the highlights of this magnificent city included in the tour cost.
Full Day Excursion to the Southern Cotswolds
We first journey to Tetbury, with its elegant buildings & thriving market town. We continue to Cirencester, the Capital of the Cotswolds, which boasts many fine galleries and antique shops. We return via Malmesbury, the oldest continually inhabited town in England.
Limpley Stoke Hotel
This ivy-clad Georgian country house hotel is set in its own grounds. All 62 spacious en suite bedrooms have bath or shower and WC, colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A lift serves 2 of the 3 floors and there is one bedroom on the ground floor. The Valley Restaurant serves fresh local produce and the lounge enjoys views over the tranquil valley.
