Bath, Bristol & Cheddar Gorge 7 Day - Anchor Head
Weston-super-Mare is Somerset's best known holiday resort. It is situated in a sheltered bay at the foot of the Mendip Hills with views across the Bristol Channel to South Wales. There are many charming Victorian and Edwardian terraces interspersed with colourful parks and gardens providing fascinating walks; from the delightful rocky point at Anchor Head to the sandy beaches at the southern end of the resort. Weston offers a great many attractions including the Grand Pier – described as “the ultimate 21st Century indoor theme park”! It also boasts a helicopter museum and a big wheel which offers breathtaking views. The sheltered bay is ideal for a quiet walk. Other superb activities include ten pin bowling, golf and bowls. At night there are numerous attractions including top class cabaret at the Playhouse and dancing at the famous Winter Gardens.

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bath, one of England’s most beautiful cities. Bath is a compact city, with stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture – almost as if straight out of a Jane Austen novel. Admire the iconic Royal Crescent, marvel at the beautiful Abbey or perhaps visit one of the many museums. There’s also a huge amount of independent shopping to be enjoyed in the historic streets and no end of quaint tearooms in which to relax!/n

Surrounded by the hills of South West England, Bristol has always had a story to tell. A city with centuries-old heritage, there are distinct areas of the city all worth exploring including the Old City which is a warren of streets and squares that mostly remain the same as they were hundreds of years ago and the pretty harbourside which is framed by brightly coloured buildings. /n
Day 6 - Cheddar Gorge & Wells
Dramatic scenery awaits as we travel to iconic Cheddar Gorge. One of the country’s most spectacular, natural landmarks the awe-inspiring cliffs and extraordinary caves have fascinated visitors for centuries. The village of Cheddar is a gem itself with a Minster Church, ancient architecture and, of course, shops selling the famous cheese! We also visit historic Wells. Home to a magnificent cathedral and surrounded by the rolling hills of Somerset it is a delight to explore. /n
Day 7 - Return Travel
Anchor Head Hotel
Situated by Birnbeck Pier, close to the boating slipway and beach, with spectacular sea views across the channel from our lounge, restaurant and from many of the hotel’s bedrooms. The hotel features a newly refurbished restaurant, quiet lounge, bar with dancefloor and entertainment on most evenings. The hotel also boasts an outdoor terrace, perfect for catching the sun and enjoying spectacular sea views across the resort. Our en-suite bedrooms come with comfy beds for a great nights sleep, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV with Freeview and radio and hairdryer.
