The Bayeux Tapestry is set to return to the UK
British Prime Minister Theresa May has announced that the world famous Bayeux Tapestry will return to the UK in 2022 for the first time since it was created in England over 900 years ago.
The 70 metre unique tapestry which depicts the Norman Conquest of 1066 will be on loan and will form part of a cultural exchange taking place between the UK and France over the next four years.
The Tapestry will be coming to the UK whilst its current home – the Bayeux Museum is refurbished. More details of the exhibition including dates and locations will be released in due course.
