Bletchley Park opens code-breaking hut in 2018
Bletchley Park played a pivotal role for the allied forces intelligence during the Second World War. It was here that code-breakers managed to crack the ‘unbreakable’ enigma code.
Opening in 2018, a new exhibition called 'Hut 11A: The Bombe Breakthrough' will explain how challenging the enigma code was and how Alan Turing, Gordon Welchman and others devised a machine which could break it.
Wartime objects will be on display including blueprints and components, decrypted Nazi messages and the W.R.N.S Visitor Book signed by key figures. Some documents which will be displayed have never been on display previously.
