CMV Columbus embarks on a refit
The Columbus, the latest acquisition to the Cruise & Maritime Voyages fleet has this week entered dry dock for a three-week refit in Rotterdam.
The ship previously underwent modification and refurbishment work during the ship’s transfer from Singapore. The Columbus originally entered service in 1989 for Princess Cruises and then spent time operating for P&O Cruises and the former Ocean Village brand.
Tilbury will also become the newly-refurbed ships home port from the 8th June 2017. The addition of the Coumbus to the CMV fleet brings the capacity up to 5000 berths across the five ships including the Magellan, Marco Polo, Astoria and Astor.
