Harewood announces major TV Exhibition
Harewood House in Yorkshire will be opening its doors on the 24th March 2017 for an exhibition called Victorian Harewood. The house was the setting for the TV show Victoria, visitors will get close up access to the costumes and the sets used in the filming of the hit ITV show. During the drama Harewood doubled up as both Buckingham and Kensington Palace, former Doctor Who companion Jenna Coleman played the famous monarch.
A young Queen Victoria visited Harewood House as a princess and described the gallery as ‘beautiful’ with a ‘very pretty’ view from her window.
The new exhibition is centred around three influential women: Queen Victoria, her lady-in-waiting Lady Charlotte Canning and Louisa Countess of Harewood.
The Harewood Estate is also famous for being the home of the outdoor Emmerdale sets, nestled within the grounds. We also have breaks available to visit the Emmerdale filming locations.
