River Cruise Line explores lesser known gems
Following feedback from clients and agents, the River Cruise Line has added a number of new itineraries to its 2016 programme with the opportunity to explore the Danube and the Rhine.
The new 2016 itineraries will take time to visit some little known historic towns that line the riverbanks. An example of this is the new 12-day ‘Medieval Towns of Bavaria and the Rhine Valley’ itinerary, which departs in March on board the four star MS Serenity. Departing from Passau, the cruise winds along the Danube, Main-Danube canal and Rhine river before arriving at Cologne. Stops along the way include Regensburg with hundreds of listed buildings, Nuremburg with its winding alleys and cobbled streets and Bamberg home to one of the most important imperial castles of the Middle Ages. Further stops include Wurzburg where culture and history are at the heart of a friendly community, to Wertheim, Miltenburg, Frankfurt, Rudesheim and Koblenz.
The cruise is priced from only £999 per person based on 2 adults sharing a cabin on a full board basis.
