Kent Named Europe's Top Family Destination!
With the majority of the Door2Tour team having lived in Kent for most of our lives, you can imagine how thrilled we were when this week, Kent was voted the top family destination in Europe by Lonely Planet!
Beating off the competition of France and Wales, Kent won the accolade due to the number of wonderful attractions available for all the family.
Our top attractions for Kent include, Dover Castle and the Wartime Tunnels – a great day out for the whole family. The Dreamland Amusement park in Margate is sure to be a hit with the whole family and re-opens on 19th June 2015 following a fierce campaign to save the theme park which closed in 2003.
The historic Cathedral town of Canterbury, boasts a number of things to do for the family including a cathedral tour, boat ride along the river, the Canterbury Tales experience and much more.
Another great day out for the family is the Historic Dockyard in Chatham with tonnes of maritime and military history there is plenty to see and do.
