The Elvis Exhibition Extends…
One of the world’s most iconic cars, Elvis’ Pink Cadillac, will be on display at the 'Elvis at the O2: The Exhibition of His Life' for a limited time. The car has been shipped over from Elvis’ home Graceland especially and has been available for viewing at the London exhibition since the 17th June 2015.
The addition is due to overwhelming popularity and as a result the exhibition has extended until January 10th 2016 (it was originally due to close in August).
The car which was bought by Elvis almost 60 years ago on 7th July 1955 was originally blue with a black roof, but Elvis himself arranged for the body work to be repainted into the famous pink colour seen today.
The car has been on permanent display at Graceland for over 30 years, formerly in the car port before being moved to outside the front entrance in 2006 for a visit by George W Bush and the Japanese Prime Minister.
With over 300 Elvis artefacts from Graceland’s Archives, the incredible collection of personal items, documents, costumes, guitars, records and photographs has proved a real hit with fans. Not forgetting the famous pool table Elvis played on with the Beatles. The Pink Cadillac will boost an already impressive exhibition and will be on display for several months before returning back to Graceland.
