Wimbledon Bans the Selfie Stick
We’re afraid to say we’ve got some very bad news for Tennis fans who own the biggest Christmas gift of 2014, the Selfie Stick. It was announced yesterday that the All English Lawn Tennis Club would not allow the infamous selfie stick into the grounds during the Wimbledon Championships. This may come as a blow to some fans hoping to get a great self-portrait using the sticks longer reach.
The ticket holders guide for this year’s event states "In common with many other major sports and entertainment events and cultural attractions, The Championships will not allow 'selfie sticks' into the grounds.”
Selfie sticks have already been banned from a number of attractions around the country including the home of Manchester United Old Trafford, the National Gallery in London and the Colosseum in Rome.
