The King Has Arrived at the O2
Fans of Elvis will no longer have to travel the 4,300 miles to his home Graceland, as the largest Elvis exhibition ever to have come to Europe opens at London's O2 today.
The exhibition documents Elvis's life from his time in the army to his incredible rise to fame and features more than 300 carefully-selected items from the Graceland Archives. Each piece has been chosen to best tell the story of Elvis's life, and among the items on dis xplay are vintage cars, records, guitars, iconic clothing including his American Eagle jumpsuit and cape, his famous custom-made 'Taking Care of Business' ring which he wore right up to the day he died, and more personal items like his school report and first Christmas gift from Priscilla.
Elvis's wife Priscilla said: "[Elvis's] legacy lives on today, not only through his music but by those who share in the love and admiration of what he contributed to the world of entertainment.
"Elvis will be so happy, he always thought British fans were so supportive, he had a special love for them and never forgot them. Some exhibits haven’t been seen before.”
The exhibition will open for 9 months, closing on 31st August 2015.
